Missing 19-year-old Snow College student is found alive

She had been missing since Monday night.

(Snow College) Snow College police released their screenshot from security cameras showing the student leaving her dorm. This was the last time, officers say, that she was seen on campus on Dec. 13, 2021.

Editor’s note • After charges were filed in this case, this story was updated to remove the student’s name. The Salt Lake Tribune generally does not identify alleged sexual assault victims.

A Snow College student who has been missing since Monday night has been found alive, the central Utah school and her family reported late Saturday.

The 19-year-old had last been seen leaving her dorm in Ephraim on Monday at 9:22 p.m., wearing a white fleece jacket, a dark skirt and carrying a plastic bag.

The case prompted a search by local and state law enforcement, as well as the FBI.

“She is safe and in the care of the authorities,” relatives of the student wrote in a Facebook post. “We cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible law enforcement effort. And we are eternally grateful for each of you, your prayers, your love, and your support. Thank you!”

Her roommates first reported her missing when she didn’t return to her dorm by the next day, Marci Larsen, the school’s spokesperson, has said.
