If you’re planning on driving to or from a relative’s home on Thanksgiving, traffic may be a problem, but the weather won’t. Expect decent weather for the day in Utah — and even better weather for the rest of the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, there’s sun forecast for nearly the entire week. Expect highs in the 40s and 50s on Monday and Tuesday before a 20% chance of snow late Tuesday, when temperatures will dip into the upper 20s.

Highs will be in the upper 30s on Wednesday, but clear skies will return. And it’ll be sunny with a high near 42 in Salt Lake City on Thanksgiving Day. The average high for that date in Salt Lake City is 46 degrees, so it’ll be a bit cooler than normal.

Then it’ll warm up with expected highs of 49, 50 and 52 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Southern Utahns can expect temperatures about 10 degrees warmer than northern Utah throughout the week. There’s no precipitation in the forecast through Sunday.

In St. George, it’ll be in the upper 50s on Monday and Tuesday, the upper 40s Wednesday and about 51 on Thanksgiving Day — eight degrees cooler than normal. Temperatures will rise to the mid-50s on Friday, the upper 50s on Saturday and about 60 on Sunday.
