(West Valley City Police Department) The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of a person of interest in a Monday homicide. The Kearns resident is wanted for violation of his parole.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $2,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of 34-year-old Noel Munoz Lopez, who is wanted on a parole violation and was named a person of interest in a fatal Monday shooting in West Valley City.

Lopez, of Kearns, was named a person of interest Tuesday in the killing of Farrell Bartschi, 82, who was pronounced dead shortly after gunshots were reported in the area of 3800 South 4200 West early Monday.

Investigators this week determined that Lopez was in the area at the time of the shooting and has an association with the owners of the home in front of where the shooting occurred, according to a news release. He has not been named a suspect in the case, but the release states that he is accused of violating his parole.

Lopez is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He is bald with a black beard and mustache. Anyone with information on Lopez may contact West Valley City police at 801-965-5200.
