Officers were responding to reports of a domestic dispute.

The Murray Police Department said Tuesday that an officer shot and killed a man.

Police were responding to reports of a domestic dispute at or near the Villas at Vine apartments at 801 Vine St. around 4 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Kristin Reardon. She said shots were fired during a confrontation, and one officer suffered an injury that isn’t life threatening.

Reardon did not provide more information about how the officer was injured. She said the man who was shot by officers died at the scene.
