Officials are allowing people to return to their homes after a fire in Heber City forced evacuations in the area.

Eight to 10 homes between 4800 East and 5700 East were initially evacuated after the Little Pole Fire was started by people around 3 p.m. on Monday.

Officials initially said the fire was about 50 acres, though in their most recent update said the fire is actually 21 acres. The blaze is now 45% contained, and firefighters will be monitoring it throughout the night, the Wasatch County Fire District said in a Facebook post.
