The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends that people who are expecting get vaccinated for the coronavirus.

While pregnant women weren’t included in early clinical trials, Utah doctors have said “there is every reason to think” that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe for this group.

At the White House coronavirus briefing on Friday, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the CDC is now recommending that pregnant people receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
