The Legacy Parkway reopened on Wednesday afternoon, after a SWAT team apprehended a man after a standoff.

According to North Salt Lake police, the man was driving erratically and Woods Cross police began a pursuit, which they abandoned to prevent an accident. The man stopped his truck near Center Street in North Salt Lake.

When officers approached him, he told them he had a gun and a bomb, threatened to set his gas tank on fire, and waved a metal rod at them. SWAT team members arrived, and after flash bombs and tear gas sent the man running, he was apprehended by police.

The Legacy Parkway was reopened about 1:30 p.m.
