A Washington County man was found dead at Quail Creek State Park on Monday.
Donald Denoon, 77, was reported missing by his family around 7:45 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from Utah State Parks. The family members told authorities that Denoon had gone fishing alone early that morning and hadn’t returned home.
First responders found Denoon’s body in the water around 10:30 p.m. on the northeast side of the reservoir near St. George. He was not wearing a life jacket, but one was found in his boat, the release states.
Conditions in the area that day were windy and cold.
The man’s death is under investigation.
