Police recover abducted 5-month-old baby after Utah issues an Amber Alert

(Cedar City police) Police in Cedar City issued an Amber Alert for 5-month-old Peyton Everett Caraballo-Winston on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. He was believed to be abducted by Emily Luciano.

UPDATE, 3 p.m., Nov. 7: The Amber Alert for infant Peyton Everett Caraballo-Winston has been canceled after police have recovered the baby in Colorado.

Babysitter Emily Marissa Luciano is accused of taking Peyton out of state without his mother’s consent, according to a news release from Cedar City police. Luciano, 31, dropped off two of the baby’s siblings, ages one and five, with an unnamed party before traveling to Denver. The mother had agreed to allow the children to spend the night with the babysitter, but Luciano kept making excuses when they were not home Saturday morning.

Officers found Luciano with the infant at the Denver International Airport. The Federal Bureau of Investigations has taken her into custody. All of the children were found unharmed.

Utah had issued an Amber Alert early Saturday.
