Iron County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating how a 26-year-old woman reported missing from St. George ended up dead in a remote area in western Iron County.
Stevie Shay Wilkerson’s body was found Aug. 23, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department. Wilkerson was reported missing Aug. 9, and Investigators determined the body had been in Iron County for “some time.”
Deputies are investigating Wilkerson’s death as a homicide. Anyone with information on her death can call police at 435-867-7500.
“Our thoughts are with the Wilkerson family at this time,” the release said.
