A man was found dead in a house that had caught fire early Monday in Ogden.
Neighbors reported the fire at about 3:45 a.m., according to a statement from the Ogden Fire Department.
“Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy fire with over 50% of the home involved,” firefighters wrote.
Crews battled the fire for about a half-hour before they could go inside. They found the man’s body in the upstairs floor of the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage to the home is estimated at $200,000. The fire department has not released the man’s name.
