‘Utah Booze News’ podcast: Underage drinking at a record low in Utah

The percentage of kids in Utah who say they have consumed alcohol in the past 30 days has dropped to its lowest rate ever.

On the the latest episode of the “Utah Booze News” podcast, Salt Lake Tribune reporter Kathy Stephenson and FOX 13′s Ben Winslow discuss the latest underage drinking statistics with Doug Murakami, director of Parents Empowered, the alcohol education program for the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Also on the podcast, Stephenson and Winslow recap Tuesday’s monthly meeting of the state liquor commission and explain why business owners may have to pay thousands of dollars to buy state bar licenses. Listen here.
