‘Utah Booze News’ podcast: Cocktails under court order and Samuel Adams founder celebrates new beer law

A Utah judge breaks new ground when she decides to let Salt Lake City’s Button Down bar serve alcohol without a state license — at least for now.

On the the latest episode of the “Utah Booze News” podcast, Salt Lake Tribune reporter Kathy Stephenson and FOX 13′s Ben Winslow talk about the lawsuit between Button Down and the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and how the legal battle might unfold now that the state is — once again — running low on bar licenses.

Also on the podcast, Jim Koch, co-founder and chairman of the Boston Beer Co., which produces Samuel Adams, stops by Gracie’s to celebrate the new law that allows his signature beer to be sold on tap for the first time. Listen here.
