After more than 60 years of classes, the old West Jordan Middle School is being torn down, a process that should take about a week. An excavator started knocking down the brick walls Tuesday. The school was the oldest one in Jordan School District.
The district has constructed a new school on the same property and it will be ready for students when classes start on Aug. 20.
