Man gets 77-month prison sentence for robbing two Utah banks

Prosecutors say a West Valley City man has been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for robbing banks in Ogden and North Salt Lake.

They say 42-year-old Sean Thomas Moore pleaded guilty in February to one count of bank robbery by force or violence.

In return for his plea, one count of the same charge was dropped.

The Standard-Examiner in Ogden reports Moore admitted to robbing a North Salt Lake Zions Bank last July.

He also was charged with robbing an Ogden KeyBank a week later.

Moore was sentenced to serve 77 months in prison and after his term is complete, he’ll be under supervised release for three years.

The court recommended Moore serve his prison time at the U.S. Penitentiary in Tucson, Ariz.
