Utah National Guard soldiers returning from Middle East

About 100 Utah Army National Guard soldiers are returning home following a deployment to the Middle East.

The Guard says the troops from the 65th Field Artillery Brigade are scheduled to return Thursday to the Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base at Salt Lake City International Airport.

One flight with some of the returning soldiers will return Thursday morning, and the second is scheduled to return that afternoon.

The deployment lasted about 10 months after the soldiers left Utah on March 26, 2018.

The unit’s Facebook page includes numerous photos showing training and other activity in Kuwait.
