Police say a woman is dead and two suspects are in custody after an early morning hit-and-run in West Valley City.
About 2 a.m. Sunday, police responded to reports of a hit-and-run near the 2800 block of 3785 South. When officers arrived, they found Tequila Garcia, 36, with severe injuries. Garcia later died at the scene.
Police say Garcia had argued with two people who live in the same house just before the hit-and-run. Police later took the pair — Andres Mendoza, 24, and Alejandra Molina, 24 — into custody for questioning.
Mendoza and Molina have since been booked into jail for domestic violence criminal homicide.
