Authorities have identified the two people who died in a house fire in Murray early Monday morning as girl and her grandmother.

Cassidy Jackson, 7, and Lisa Wiley, 53, died in the fire that destroyed the home at 700 W. Anderson Ave.

Firefighters responded to the blaze shortly after 7 a.m., arriving to find the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to tweets from the Murray Fire Department.

Because of items in the house, crews had trouble getting upstairs. When they did, they found the two victims.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
