3 in custody after man was shot to death in West Jordan restaurant

(Courtesy of FOX 13) Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed inside a restaurant in West Jordan early Thursday morning.

Police arrested three people after a 20-year-old man was shot to death inside a West Jordan restaurant early Thursday morning.

The victim, 20-year-old Noe Armij-Luna of Midvale, and a friend were eating at the Rancherito’s restaurant at 7849 S. Redwood Road about 12:30 a.m. when Jonathon Hunt, 18, and Jayden Olsen, 22, entered the restaurant and immediately confronted him.

According to police, there as an “ongoing dispute” between the victim and Olsen, and during the confrontation in the restaurant, “Jonathan Hunt produced a handgun and shot the victim.”

Armij-Luna was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

According to Lt. Rich Bell of the West Jordan Police, Olsen and Hunt were both booked into the Salt Lake County jail pending charges; a 17-year-old girl “who was waiting in the car while this was happening” was also arrested.

Bell thanked the Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit for its “help in identifying and locating these suspects.”
