Police investigating sexting among teens in Roosevelt

A group of Union High School students is being investigated for alleged sexting, according to police in Roosevelt.

The case was brought to the attention of officials in that eastern Utah city in May, according to the Roosevelt Police Department. No charges have been filed; officers are waiting for the state crime lab to complete its evaluation of the evidence.

No information has been released about how many students may have been involved.

Sexting involving minors is illegal under the Utah’s child pornography laws.
