An 18-month-old died Tuesday in Newton after being accidentally run over by a truck driven by a family member, according to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.
“The investigation so far leads us to believe this is a tragic accident,” according to a statement from police.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the home where the accident occurred about 7 p.m. and administered CPR. The child died after being transported to a local hospital.
The name of the victim was not released by police.
