Officials identify 47-year-old woman killed in Provo fire

Officials have released the name of a woman who was killed Friday morning in a structure fire in Provo.

Donna Clegg, 47, and two dogs were found dead inside a house at 1455 S. State St. Clegg was living at the home with another person, who managed to escape, according to the Provo Fire Department.

Fire officials said the structure should have been unoccupied and that power had been disconnected earlier in the week. It had no working smoke alarms and few exits.

The fire’s cause hasn’t been determined. The fire department estimated the blaze caused $200,000 of damage.
