‘Spider-Man,’ with live music
It’s a new way to see superheroes: “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse — Live in Concert.” It’s a screening of the 2018 animated superhero movie, in which Miles Morales (voiced by Shemeik Moore) is bitten by a genetically altered spider and discovers he’s got superpowers, as well as an array of other spider-powered beings from different parts of the multiverse. The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra, provides live accompaniment, conducted by Emily Marshall — and there will be electronics and turntables to augment the hip-hop score. The concert happens Wednesday, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City. Tickets are available at ArtTix.

Reach out and touch faith
Considering how timeless, almost futuristic, their electronic pop music sounds, it’s odd to think that the British band Depeche Mode has been around since the ‘80s. Now led by founding members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, Depeche Mode is touring to support its album “Memento Mori,” released in March, but will surely be playing the hits — such as “Enjoy the Silence,” “Personal Jesus,” “People Are People,” “Master and Servant” and “Just Can’t Get Enough” The tour arrives at the Delta Center, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, for a show Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets available at deltacenter.com.
