Here’s where to take Mom out for Mother’s Day brunch in Utah

Make your reservations quickly — because many of these restaurants will fill fast.

This year, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 14 — and, with it, a smorgasbord of buffets and dining specials at restaurants around the state.

Below are all of the Mother’s Day dining options we know of in Utah this year. Please note that information and descriptions below are provided by restaurants directly; prices listed may not include tax, gratuity or optional drink pairings.

Unless otherwise listed, all specials are for Sunday, May 14. Only restaurants with special dishes or menus are listed; other restaurants may be open with regular menus. Always confirm availability, pricing and details with your chosen restaurant directly.

Salt Lake County

The Capital Grille • 40 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City; (385) 419-3888; thecapitalgrille.com • The Capital Grille is greeting Mom with a rose and chef-prepared brunch specials in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere on Mother’s Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Unique to Mother’s Day, guests will enjoy such features as: Lobster frittata with butter poached lobster tails; 14-ounce bone-in dry aged New York strip and eggs; 8-ounce center cut filet mignon with white cheddar hash browns and specialty blueberry bread. New to brunch this year is smoked salmon and caviar, which includes Royal Ossetra Caviar, crème fraîche and blini, served with white cheddar hash browns. Mimosas and glasses of Champagne are available as an enhancement, as well as their wine list. Younger members of the family can look forward to a dedicated brunch menu and more surprises. A la carte dinner options are available all day.

From the kitchen: Filet mignon eggs Benedict with grilled onion; lump crab and avocado eggs Benedict with green goddess hollandaise; southwestern omelet with chorizo, roasted jalapeño, Oaxaca cheese, cilantro lime hollandaise; ham and cheese omelet with green onion, cheddar and Jack cheese; veggie omelet with mushrooms, arugula, roasted tomato and avocado. Eight Settlers Distillery • 7321 Canyon Centre Parkway, Cottonwood Heights; (385) 900-4315; eightsettlersdistillery.com • Brunch buffet includes: Prime rib carving station, braised short rib benedict, fluffy pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, whiskey glazed pit ham, scrambled eggs, thick-cut applewood bacon, crispy breakfast potatoes, tomato, potato, & pepper frittata, honey salmon, roasted local veggies, fresh fruit display, assorted fresh pastries, overnight oats, smoked salmon display, mixed greens salad, tofu lettuce wraps, Mediterranean rotini salad, croissant bread pudding, pumpkin bread with whipped ricotta, antipasto platter, assorted fresh rolls, veggie crudité. The menu includes a cocktail to toast Mom, called For the Love of Honey, a citric sipper made with Espolòn blanco tequila, saffron honey and bay leaf bitters. Cost: $75 for adults, $35 for kids.

Davis County
