On Thanksgiving Day, dozens of Utah restaurants remain open, serving the classic holiday meal with roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

Don’t feel like eating poultry? You’re in luck. Most restaurants also offer other holiday choices like prime rib, beef short ribs, salmon or even vegetarian pasta. Take a look at the list below to see what is available.

Prices do not include tax, tip or alcoholic beverages, unless noted. In most cases, reservations will be required on Thanksgiving Day — even if the establishment is serving a buffet or doesn’t usually require them.

Buffet with roast turkey, grilled New York strip roast and slow-roasted pork loin, as well as mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, salads and desserts. Benji’s Bar-B-Que Shack • 3245 S. State St., South Salt Lake; 435-709-5227 or benjisbbqshack.com. Menu includes smoked meats (think tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork and chicken) as well as sides (coleslaw, potato salad, creamed corn, dirty rice, collard greens, spicy mac ‘n’ cheese, black-eyed peas and cornbread). Eat in or take it to go. It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Buffet with an international flair available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Menu includes traditional roast turkey and tamales along with vegan meatloaf, pesto pasta and many other vegetarian options. Marie Callender’s • 1109 E. 3900 South, Salt Lake City, 385-474-7971 or mariecallenders.com. The parent company may have closed this location in August, when it filed for bankruptcy protection, but it was recently purchased as a franchise and the new owner reopened it last week. It will be open on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving a traditional turkey dinner with vegetables, sides and a slice of pie. Adults, $22; children 12 and under, $8.99.

Salt Stone • 75 S. West Temple (inside the Salt Lake City Marriott at City Creek), Salt Lake City; 801-537-6019 or opentable.com/r/salt-stone-salt-lake-city. The hotel’s signature restaurant — formerly called Elevations — has a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with turkey, prime rib, ham, vegetables, salads, sides and desserts. From noon to 6 p.m. this mountain eatery will offer a buffet with turkey, ham, vegetables, sides and choice of pumpkin or pecan pie. No reservations required. Adults, $38; children 10 and under, $19.

Snowbird Ski Resort • 9385 S. Snowbird Center Drive, 801-933-2222 or snowbird.com. This resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon has three restaurants open for the holiday. The Aerie, inside the Cliff Lodge, hosts a buffet from 11 a.m to 8 p.m. that includes appetizers, soups, salads, turkey, ham, beef tenderloin, salmon, pork shoulder, elk stew, trout, mushroom ravioli, chilled shrimp, sushi vegetable sides and desserts. Adults, $62; kids 6-12, $33; 5 and under, free. The buffet at The Atrium, inside the Cliff Lodge, runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes appetizers, soup, salad, roast turkey, prime rib, sides and desserts. Adults, $55; children 6-12, $29. The Lodge Bistro will have a four-course meal that includes soup, salad, choice of turkey, salmon, steak or pork loin entree and dessert. Available from 4 to 9 p.m. Adults, $49; children, $24.

Located inside the University Park Marriott Hotel, this restaurant will serve a traditional buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with turkey, sides, a 12-foot “grazing station” with assorted meats, cheeses and breads, a “build-your-own” mac ’n’ cheese bar and desserts. No Name Saloon • 447 Main, Park City, 435-649-6667 or nonamesaloon.net. For the 19th year, the historic saloon serves its free Thanksgiving buffet with turkey and all the trimmings. Feasting begins at 2 p.m. and continues until the kitchen runs out. Must be 21 or older.
