‘Real Housewives of SLC’ go to Bermuda, where Meredith is obsessed with bathtubs

One of the women suggests another is in the mafia.

In the Dec. 5 episode, “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” finally head to Bermuda for their “girls’ trip,” and there is trauma for Meredith Marks — not only does she get sick, but (gasp!) her bathroom doesn’t have a tub. This comes up a lot throughout the episode. A whole lot.

In a confessional, Heather Gay says, “The trip is ruined. Meredith Marks does not have a bathtub. So we might as well go home now.”

It’s not just that Meredith doesn’t have a tub, but the other five women do. And none of them is willing to trade rooms with Meredith — a sign, she says, of the “zero” respect they have for her. Maybe the excessive whining has something to do with her feeling sick, and maybe that has something to do with the two sleeping pills she took for the flight from Utah to Bermuda.

Whatever the reason, a medic decides Meredith is dehydrated and hooks her up to an IV. Lisa Barlow snarks, “Now we know why Meredith was so good at churning butter [at the pioneer-themed lunch]. She really knows how to milk things.”

After dragging herself out of bed, Meredith confronts the other women about the bathtub situation. Repeatedly.

Angie fights with Meredith

Angie Katsanevas, once again, says that Meredith threatened her family. Meredith, playing a semantics game, once again denies that. (Even though it’s true.) The fight grows louder and more intense, while the other women, and the shuttle driver, look increasingly uncomfortable.

Angie says Meredith is “low and dirty.” Meredith says, “Don’t talk to me about low and dirty. You are the lowest and dirtiest.” And in a confessional, Meredith adds, “It gets to a point when you’re accused of something over and over and over again, you may as well do it.” (That’s definitely a threat.)

Whitney fights with Lisa and Heather

Whitney Rose thinks she’s Lisa’s guru. “I feel like me being that positive person in her life was the pivotal moment, and she became this better version of herself,” Whitney says. When Heather tells Lisa that Whitney has been saying this kind of stuff, Lisa is highly irritated.

Later in the episode, Whitney again takes Lisa to task for not comforting her the way she wanted to be comforted after a friend died. Lisa brings up Whitney’s belief that she’s making her a better person. When Whitney learns Heather told Lisa about that, Whitney turns on Heather, eventually telling her to “Shut the [expletive] up.” Heather is incensed. She says that Whitney’s version of her friendship with Lisa is “delusional,” and that she seems “like some sort of weird devotee to the Lisa cult.”

The Greek mafia?

Monica Garcia says that, about three weeks earlier, she and Meredith “were hanging out in Park City on Main Street — which Meredith told me used to be run by the Greek mafia. Which then led to a discussion about Angie, and how she could possibly be in the Greek mafia.” And Monica says, she has gotten DMs telling her that Angie and her husband’s business dealings are “shady.”

There is, of course, zero evidence of this, but that has never stopped “RHOSLC” before.
