A night on ice

Hockey fans in Utah get their annual taste of NHL action on Thursday at 7 p.m., in the Delta Center, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. It’s a preseason match between the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks. Tickets are available at DeltaCenter.com.

Neon Trees, back home

It’s been a while since Neon Trees started out playing the Provo clubs — so it will be a Utah homecoming when the band performs Saturday at The Complex (Rockwell), 536 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City. The band (made up of singer/keyboardist Tyler Glenn, guitarist Chris Allen, drummer Elaine Bradley and bassist Branden Campbell) is on their “Favorite Daze” tour. The show, with opening acts Laundry Day and Silent Rival, starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets available at thecomplexslc.com.

The last time?

Real Salt Lake’s last regular-season game of 2023 is scheduled to happen Saturday, starting at 7:30 p.m., at America First Field, 9256 S. State St., Sandy. The claret-and-cobalt will take on Sporting Kansas City in the match. Will it be the last time RSL takes the home field in 2023? That depends on how well the team does in its last four matches — the Sporting KC game and three on the road — to stay above the playoff line. Tickets available at realsaltlake.com.
