Here are the first two bands performing in Red Butte Garden’s summer concert series
Tickets go on sale Thursday to Red Butte Garden members, and Friday to everyone else.

Even though there’s snow on the flowers, Red Butte Garden is planning for the summer — with early ticket sales this week for the first two dates in the Salt Lake City venue’s 2022 Outdoor Concert Series.
The Icelandic alt-rock band Kaleo — whose track “Way Down We Go” has been heard on such TV shows as “Grey’s Anatomy” — will headline the opening concert in the series, on Tuesday, May 17. Another alternative musician, Bones Owens, will be the opening act.
On Friday, May 20, the Trey Anastasio Band will headline. Fronted by Anastasio, the lead guitarist for the jam band Phish, the band experiments with improv rock and free jazz.
Tickets will go on sale — at redbuttegarden.org/concerts — Thursday, 9 a.m. Mountain time, for Red Butte Garden members, and Friday at 9 a.m. Mountain for the general public.
Red Butte will announce the full schedule for the 2022 Outdoor Concert Series on April 12.
