Would it really be summer in Utah if Michael Franti or Ben Harper weren’t performing a concert somewhere?
Those popular musicians are part of the lineup of the second season of the Deer Valley Concert Series, unveiled Tuesday. Four concerts have been announced, and more will be added, Deer Valley and The State Room Presents said in a joint release.
Here are the shows, all scheduled for Deer Valley’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater:
July 11 • Jenny Lewis, pop singer-songwriter. The opening act is still to be announced.
Aug. 11 • Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, playing a mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock. Jazz act Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue are also on the bill, along with an act to be announced.
Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., online at deervalleyconcertseries.com. Tickets are already on sale for the Michael Franti/Ziggy Marley show.
The concerts happen rain or shine. Guests can bring picnics, blankets and low chairs (less than nine inches high). Animals are not permitted. Free parking is available at Snow Park Lodge, and public transportation runs throughout the Park City area to Deer Valley.
