The Utah women’s basketball schedule has come into focus.

The Utes, 14-17 a year ago, but armed with a slew of returners under sixth-year coach Lynne Roberts, will open the season Nov. 25 against Southern Utah, followed by a Nov. 28 meeting with Utah Valley, the school announced Monday. Both games will be played at the Huntsman Center, with tipoff times and broadcast designations yet to be decided.

Utah has the option to add a third nonconference game, but is not expected to at this point.

The two nonconference games announced Monday coincided with the Pac-12 releasing its weekly matchups and sites for its 22-game women’s basketball schedule.

Utah will open Pac-12-play the week of Dec. 4-7 by playing at Oregon and Oregon State. The Utes' home Pac-12 opener will come between Dec. 18-21 against Arizona or Arizona State.

The Pac-12 has been the top-rated women’s basketball conference by RPI in three of the last five seasons, including 2019-20, and is expected to be strong again. The league boasts five teams in the preseason AP Top 25, No. 2 Stanford, No. 7 Arizona, No. 9 UCLA, No. 10 Oregon, and No. 18 Oregon State. Additionally, Arizona State and USC are both receiving votes.
