Half of Utah State’s football games this season will be played on a Thursday night on national television, including one on Thanksgiving Day.

The Mountain West Conference unveiled its TV schedule Tuesday and it showed four of the Aggies' eight games have been bumped from their initial dates. The switch begins with a contest at Nevada on Thursday, Nov. 5 (FS1). That is followed by a string of three straight Thursday-night games, starting with one at Wyoming on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. (CBSSN). The Aggies then host New Mexico on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, at a time to be announced (FS1) and play their final game at Maverik Stadium against Air Force on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. (CBSSN).

A limited number of fans will be allowed inside Maverik Stadium based on safety guidelines set by local and state health officials and the university.

USU opens the season at Boise State on Oct. 24 and hosts San Diego State in its first home game of 2020 on Halloween. Fresno State comes to Logan on Nov. 14 and the Aggies wrap up the regular season with a Saturday-night contest at Colorado State on Dec. 12.

The MW Championship is scheduled for Dec. 19. It will pit the two teams with the highest winning percentage in conference games and will be hosted by the regular-season champion.

No MW team will play as many games on Thursday as the Aggies. CSU will see three Thursday-night contests and Wyoming will play two on a Thursday and two on a Friday.
