Real Salt Lake beats L.A. to advance in U.S. Open Cup
RSL will next face Houston in the tournament’s semifinal round.

Real Salt Lake captain Damir Kreilach scored two goals Wednesday to help beat the L.A. Galaxy and lead his team into the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup.
Kreilach scored both of his goals in the first half and RSL winger Jefferson Savarino scored early in the second in RSL’s 3-1 win over L.A.
The Galaxy scored two goals in the 82nd and 84th minutes to make things interesting late.
RSL will next face Houston in a semifinal matchup. A draw will be held Thursday to determine which team will host the contest.
