He gave them Zlatan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice to lift the L.A. Galaxy over Real Salt Lake, 3-0 at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., on Saturday.

His first goal came after Real Salt Lake defender Justen Glad and goalkeeper Nick Rimando made heroic saves to keep the match scoreless into the second half. But Ibrahimovic couldn’t be contained for much longer.

In the 61st minute, the Galaxy took advantage of RSL’s inability to clear a throw-in into the box. Rimando came off his line to try to punch away a cross, but he got a soft touch on it. Ibrahimovic was there at the back post to head the ball in and give the Galaxy a 1-0 lead.

Just six minutes later, he did it again, this time heading home a ball floated over RSL’s back line by Servando Carrasco. Ibrahimovic fought off Glad to win the header and double the Galaxy’s score.

Galaxy forward Ola Kamara put the match away with a goal in the 76th minute. Midfielder Chris Pontius won the second ball in the midfield and took off down the field. He played it across to Kamara at the top of the box. Kamara took a touch and then lined a shot into the net past a diving Rimando.
