Three days after Real Salt Lake pulled the press credential of Salt Lake Tribune sports columnist Gordon Monson before RSL's home match against the New England Revolution on Saturday night, the organization reinstated the longtime voice of the Tribune on Tuesday morning.

"At the behest of Major League Soccer and in accordance with league policy, Real Salt Lake has reinstated media access and related privileges to The Salt Lake Tribune columnist," Andy Carroll, RSL's chief business officer, said in a statement.

Carroll informed the newspaper Friday that RSL was denying Monson access to cover matches, citing discontent with a pair of critical columns he wrote regarding RSL owner Dell Loy Hansen within the past 18 months. In response to the move, The Tribune pulled back RSL beat writer Chris Kamrani as well as photographer Francisco Kjolseth from covering the match against the New England Revolution on Saturday in Sandy.

"I appreciate RSL management reconsidering this issue," Tribune Editor Terry Orme said in a statement. "It is water under the bridge."

The Tribune will staff Tuesday night's international friendly against Italian club Inter Milan and return to its standard coverage of RSL moving forward.
