Utah Royals FC signs midfielder Chestley Strother

The Utah Royals FC added to its midfield by signing midfielder Chestley Strother, the club announced Tuesday. The acquisition comes a day after veteran midfielder Erika Tymrak announced her retirement from professional soccer.

Strother most recently played for Sundvall DFF in Sweden, and has also spent time in Iceland with UMF Sindri. She played college soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler.

“Chestley has spent the last few years developing in Sweden and we are excited to have her in Utah bringing some height and athleticism to our midfield,” Royals general Manager Stephanie Lee said in statement.
