Here’s the latest on Jaren Jackson Jr.’s injury and the other Utah Jazz starters sidelined

The Jazz have five starters dealing with injuries with under 10 games left.

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz player Jaren Jackson Jr. (20) has started on-court workouts but is unlikely to play the remainder of this season.

Utah Jazz center Jaren Jackson Jr. started individual on-court workouts, but will likely miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Jackson, who had surgery to remove a non-cancerous growth in February, will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The Jazz would only have two games remaining at that point, and Jackson would still need time to ramp up his conditioning.

Jackson is one of several Jazz starters sidelined for an extended period of time.

Former All-Star Lauri Markkanen is still working his way back from a right hip impingement that he suffered in practice last month. He will be re-evaluated next week.

Center Jusuf Nurkic is out for the rest of year with nose surgery and Walker Kessler missed nearly the entire year for shoulder surgery.

Point guard Keyonte George is dealing with a hamstring strain that has kept him out since March 11. He could still return this year.

Utah has nine games remaining and owns the fifth-worst record in the league. The Jazz lost to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday and will start a road trip to Denver and Phoenix this weekend.
