‘How ‘Bout This Jazz’ podcast: Previewing the Utah Jazz’s longest road trip of the season

Plus, the guys give their thoughts on whether Nickeil Alexander-Walker can become more of a contributor to the team.

(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell (45) high-fives his team after scoring 25 points in the 3rd quarter, in NBA action between the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls, at Vivint Arena, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

After a four-game homestand, the Utah Jazz is going on the longest road trip of ita 2021-22 NBA regular season.

Quin Snyder and his team will be away from Utah for 10 days, as a six-game road trip is on the agenda. And the road trip has its share of tough matchups. After a game against the Knicks, the Jazz will take the L train to Brooklyn to take on Kevin Durant and the Nets.

A few nights later, the Jazz will be in Boston to take on a Celtics team that has risen in stock these past few weeks. Later on the trip, there will be a matchup with the Mavericks — a possible first-round playoff preview. The trip will end in Los Angeles to battle the Clippers.

So if the Jazz come away 3-3 from the road trip, is that considered a success or failure?

In the latest episode of The Tribune’s “How ‘Bout This Jazz” podcast, host/moderator Xoel Cardenas and Tribune Jazz beat reporters Andy Larsen and Eric Walden preview the Utah Jazz’s upcoming six-game coast-to-coast road trip.

The guys also give their thoughts on whether Nickeil Alexander-Walker — who’s had a nice stretch of games played and scored 16 points in a Jazz win over the Bulls — could become more of a contributor to the team.

Lastly, the guys talk about the art that is packing a carry-on bag for a long road trip.
