Plus, were there any positives for the Jazz to take away from their first battle against the Warriors last week?

(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell (45) celebrates after putting the Jazz up by 2 points with 2:50 remaining the the game, in NBA action between the Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards, at Vivint Arena on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021.

January is here and the Utah Jazz continue rolling along, despite having a busy week off the court.

Joe Ingles became the first Jazz player to be placed in health and safety protocols. Rudy Gobert joined him soon after. With Hassan Whiteside out as well (concussion), Utah started Udoka Azubuike for a game and recently signed Norvel Pelle to a 10-day hardship contract.

Did I mention the Jazz also traded Miye Oni to Oklahoma City and signed Danuel House to a 10-day contract?

On the latest episode of The Tribune’s “How ‘Bout This Jazz” podcast, host/moderator Xoel Cardenas and Tribune Jazz beat reporters Andy Larsen and Eric Walden break down the busy week the Jazz had.

The guys also talk about Donovan Mitchell’s epic December, as the All-Star guard was named the NBA’s Player of the Month.

Lastly, the trio gives their thoughts on silver linings for the Jazz after their loss to the Golden State Warriors last week — a game many fans said was the first championship-level test for Utah this season.
