‘How ‘Bout This Jazz’ podcast: Donovan Mitchell scoring but wants to be more efficient for the Utah Jazz

Plus, backup center Hassan Whiteside making a good first impression

After one full week of the 2021-22 NBA regular season, the Utah Jazz look like they haven’t missed a beat from last regular season.

Rudy Gobert is still getting his double-doubles, Donovan Mitchell is still scoring points (and still taking a lot of shots to get them), and it seems like the team is showing a bit more toughness than last season. That being said, there are always things that can be worked on and improved.

In the latest episode of the Tribune’s “How ‘Bout This Jazz” podcast, host/moderator Xoel Cardenas and Jazz beat reporters Andy Larsen and Eric Walden give you their thoughts on the good and the bad of the first week of the Utah Jazz’s season.

The trio also discusses Mitchell’s efforts to be more efficient on the court, something he has previously mentioned wanting to improve.

Also, is Hassan Whiteside finding his old groove back?

Lastly, the guys look ahead to the Jazz’s next opponents on the schedule, as Quin Snyder’s team travels to Houston, Chicago and Milwaukee before returning to Vivint Arena on Tuesday to take the Sacramento Kings. Andy, Eric and Xoel tell you which matchup they are looking forward to watching.
