Rodney Hood scored a team-high 18 points in the Jazz's 72-70 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the second game of their summer league schedule at the Utah Jazz Summer League Tuesday.

Hood was the lone bright spot for the Jazz offensively, as the second-year guard out of Duke scored his 18 points on an efficient 8-of-14 night from the floor. Chris Johnson added 10 points in the victory.

Other than Hood, the Jazz weren't very good on the offensive end, shooting a combined 18-of-57 for the game.

The Spurs took a 20-15 lead by the end of the first quarter. Spurs rookie Kyle Anderson scored nine in the first quarter, making both of his field goal attempts and all five of his shots at the free throw line. The former UCLA forward scored more points in the first quarter than he did in the entire game on Monday against the Sixers, where he finished the game with eight. He ended the half Tuesday with 19 points, on his way to finishing with a game-high 25 points for the night.

Utah didn't make up any ground in the second quarter, going into the half trailing 43-37, despite shooting better than the Spurs in the first half. The difference was the Spurs went to the line 16 times, converting on 15 of them. Rookie forward Brock Motum out of Washington State led the Jazz in scoring for the first half, scoring eight points. The Australian ended up with 10 points for the game in place of Grant Jerrett, who left Monday's game with a dislocated shoulder.

Olivier Hanlan got the start in place of Dante Exum, who also left Monday's game against the Boston Celtics with an injury, and played 18 minutes without hitting a shot. He ended with one point from a free throw.
