This Utah high school football team is set to compete for a national championship

Corner Canyon just captured its third consecutive Class 6A state championship.

After winning its third-straight Utah Class 6A championship on Thursday, Corner Canyon High School’s football team is ready to take its talents to the national stage.

The Chargers will take on Maryland’s St. Frances Academy in the first Overtime Nationals high school football championship, Overtime and Omaha Productions officially announced on Friday.

The championship contest will take place at Under Armour Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, on Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. MST and is set to be aired nationally on ESPN2.

According to Rivals’ National High School Team Rankings, Corner Canyon — following a 12-1 season that was capped off with a championship victory over Lone Peak High School — is currently ranked as the No. 30 high school football team in the nation.

St. Frances Academy, located in Baltimore, slots in at No. 2 in the nation and has a 7-1 record this season.
