Olympus junior Rylan Jones earns Gatorade player of the year award for boys’ hoops

Junior Rylan Jones helped guide Olympus to an undefeated season that ended with a Class 5A boys’ basketball state title.
The University of Utah commit was named the Gatorade Utah boys’ basketball player of the year for his efforts.
He averaged 18.3 points. 9.9 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game for the 27-0 Titans.
“Rylan Jones is the best basketball player I’ve seen in a while,” Highland coach Jim Boyce said in a release. “He can do everything: score, shoot, rebound, assist, play defense. His court awareness and body control are elite. He can beat you in so many different ways.”
