Each week, the TribPreps staff will choose standout performers and key numbers from the previous week’s action in Utah and showcase them. Here are this week’s picks.

Teegan Kenworthy, Riverton

The Silverwolves forward scored five goals in his team’s two victories this week. He scored twice in a 5-3 win over Tooele on Monday before recording a hat trick in a 10-0 victory against Corner Canyon on Wednesday in ice hockey action. Kenworthy has scored 24 goals and assisted on five others for the 7-7-1 Silverwolves in Division 2 this season.

The sophomore scored a team-high 19 points to help the Ravens down Merit Academy 56-45 in boys’ basketball action Friday. It was Waterford’s second win of the season. He also scored five points in his team’s 36-34 loss to Rockwell on Wednesday.

Zack Bingham, Bear River

The senior was the top-ranked wrestler at 106 pounds in the latest Class 4A coaches rankings on wrestleutah.com, and he proved his abilities during Tuesday’s All-Star Duals at Utah Valley University. Bingham pinned Herriman’s River Wardle in 1 minute, 22 seconds. He finished fourth at 106 pounds in last year’s Class 3A state meet.

The number of steals per game Milford senior Elena Yee is averaging for the Tigers girls’ basketball team this season. She finished with seven in her team’s 64-35 win over Water Canyon on Tuesday.

The number of consecutive quarters the Duchesne girls’ basketball team held opponents to less than 10 points. The run started with the third quarter against Tabiona on Jan. 4 and continued through the Eagles’ 40-17 win over St. Joseph on Tuesday and a 46-21 win over Layton Christian on Thursday. Duchesne traveled to Rich late Saturday.

The average margin of victory for the Emery girls’ basketball team this week. The Spartans took down North Sanpete 79-25 on Tuesday before knocking off Manti 81-18 on Thursday. The two wins moved the Spartans to 13-1 this season.
