The Cougars and Utes will play even earlier next season

BYU’s football schedule for 2025 has been released — and the Cougars will navigate five conference road games.

(Bethany Baker | The Salt Lake Tribune) The Brigham Young Cougars run onto the field ahead of the game against the Kansas Jayhawks in Provo on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024.

BYU’s encore performance after an 11-2 season will navigate five conference road games.

The travel schedule to Kalani Sitake’s group will be grueling in 2025, with trips to many of the Big 12’s most distant destinations: Ames, Lubbock, Tucson and Cincinnati.

It will also host Utah much earlier in the season on Oct. 18. (So much for Brett Yormark reconsidering putting the game during rivalry week.)

BYU has a relatively unique nonconference schedule. As a holdover from its Independence days, it will head to Greenville, North Carolina, to play East Carolina in September.
