BYU eliminated from Big 12 title contention
With Arizona State and Iowa State both winning on Saturday, the Cougars won’t be going to Arlington.

BYU’s Big 12 title hopes have been dashed.
The Cougars entered Saturday needing a win over Houston and help from either the Arizona or Kansas State Wildcats to sneak into the conference championship game.
But the Sun Devils stomped their in-state rival, 49-7, on Saturday afternoon to punch their own ticket to Arlington.
Kansas State kept things closer against Iowa State, but ultimately fell to the Cyclones, 29-21.
BYU’s eventual victory over Houston eliminated the Colorado Buffaloes from the title race. Arizona State and Iowa State will face off in the Big 12 championship game.
