Puka Nacua made his name on the football field. First by setting records as a high schooler for the Orem Tigers, then at Washington and BYU. He set NFL records as a rookie for receiving yards and catches.
But on Friday, the L.A. Rams receiver showed football was just one piece of his athletic prowess.
Nacua played in the Celebrity Game as part of NBA All-Star weekend on Friday. During the game, some of his moments starting going viral.
The first is of a one-handed tomahawk dunk that went largely undefended. After he finished the play, he smiled widely as he ran back on defense.
Late in the game, Nacua let off another dunk that mightāve been more appropriate for a video game than real life.
Another moment was when Nacua found himself deep in the paint against rapper Machine Gun Kelly. He received the pass, gave Kelly a good shoulder bump, and laid the ball in with ease.
The former BYU Cougar also showed his range with a 4-point shot.
Nacuaās start to his NFL career couldnāt have gone better, and it appears heāll be a pro football player for years and years to come. But it looks like he couldāve been a heck of an NBA player, too.
