WATCH: BYU football great Kyle Van Noy makes hole in one at California golf course

Van Noy tweeted a video of his feat.

(Rick Egan | Tribune file photo) Brigham Young linebacker Kyle Van Noy (3) scores a touchdown for cougars, after intercepting a pass, as BYU defeated San Diego State 23-6 in the Poinsettia Bowl, Thursday, December 20, 2012.

Kyle Van Noy is mostly known for his prowess on the football field.

The former BYU linebacker tackled 219 souls to the ground and sacked 26 more in four seasons with the Cougars from 2010-2013. He’s currently a member of the Los Angeles Chargers, but has also played for the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.

But apparently, Van Noy has other talents, specifically on the golf course. He tweeted Friday about an exploit only few can ever enjoy: a hole-in-one.

Van Noy made a shot on the 14th hole of the south course at Pelican Hill Golf Club in California. The shot was from 106 yards away and he used a 56-degree wedge.

Once he and others watching him on the course realized what happened, they erupted in cheers.
