No. 10 Arizona runs away from Utah men’s basketball team, 93-72

Wildcats pull away with 15-2 run in the second half.

The No. 10 Arizona men’s basketball team dominated the second half and beat Utah 92-73 in a Pac-12 game Saturday evening in Tucson, Ariz.

The Runnin’ Utes trailed 42-39 at halftime. After some back-and-forth action to begin the second half, the Wildcats (12-3, 3-1 Pac-12) went on a 15-2 run that included a tomahawk dunk by guard Caleb Love.

All five Arizona starters scored in double figures, led by Love with 23 points and forward Keshad Johnson with 20.

Gabe Madsen led Utah with 18 points, going 4 of 9 from 3-point range, while Cole Bajema chipped in with 11 points. Ben Carlson added 10 points off the bench with six rebounds for the Utes (11-4, 2-2 Pac-12).

Utah’s Branden Carlson, who averages 18.5 points per game this season, scored just 7 points on 3-for-10 shooting. He added five rebounds and four assists.

Utah is scheduled to face UCLA on Thursday (7 p.m., ESPN2) at the Huntsman Center.

Arizona will visit Washington State next Saturday.
