Here are the five best bang-for-your-buck Utah Jazz games this season

If you are looking to attend a Jazz game on a budget, these might be your best options.

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz fans Cayleb Pearson, left, and Sean Mullins cheer at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City as the Jazz selected Taylor Hendricks with the No. 9 pick in the NBA basketball draft, Thursday, June 22, 2023.

Attending a Utah Jazz game can cost a pretty penny.

Although the team ranks in the bottom third of the league for the average cost of tickets, the prices of attending marquee games against the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, or Boston Celtics can still cause some sticker shock. Before considering the cost of transportation, concessions, or parking, watching LeBron James roll into Salt Lake City this season would cost approximately a minimum of $240 for a family of four.

So if you’re looking to attend a few Jazz games, not break the bank, and get a good bang for your buck, take a look at these games.

Be advised, all of these prices are pulled from SeatGeek, the official ticket marketplace for the Jazz. Prices are subject to change.

Nov. 14: Portland Trail Blazers

Cheapest Upper Bowl Ticket: $10

Cheapest Lower Bowl Ticket: $52

As Utah’s first-ever home game of the NBA In-Season Tournament, this game offers compelling value and a bit of historical merit. While not exactly a playoff environment, this game could offer fans a taste of postseason intensity at a much lower price.

And after trading Damian Lillard this offseason, the Portland Trail Blazers still hold a roster of compelling young talent featuring Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons, and DeAndre Ayton. With tickets as low as 10 bucks a pop, this game could provide excellent entertainment value at the price.

Feb. 6: Oklahoma City Thunder

Cheapest Upper Bowl Ticket: $10

Cheapest Lower Bowl Ticket: $49

The Oklahoma City Thunder have one of the most exciting young cores in all of basketball right now. Led by First Team All-NBA player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder are looking to make their first playoff appearance since 2020 this season. Their roster holds a burgeoning number of young players such as Josh Giddey, Jalen Williams, and former second-overall pick Chet Holmgren.

With lower-bowl tickets as low as $49, this game provides an astonishing talent-to-dollar value.

March 18: Minnesota Timberwolves

Cheapest Upper Bowl Ticket: $11

Cheapest Lower Bowl Ticket: $55

With Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley returning to Utah, this matchup offers an opportunity for fans to watch the Jazz’s former All-Stars at a reasonable price. The Minnesota Timberwolves were bounced out of the first round of the NBA Playoffs last season, but are still looking to contend this season off the backs of rising star Anthony Edwards and veteran Karl-Anthony Towns.

Matchups between these two teams last season were exciting, and the storylines involved add in a little extra juice.

Dec. 18: Brooklyn Nets

Cheapest Upper Bowl Ticket: $8

Cheapest Lower Bowl Ticket: $44

After trading Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant last season, the Brooklyn Nets remained an interesting team to watch due to notable players such as Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton. With Ben Simmons making his return from injury this season, the Nets will continue to fight for playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

For people looking to score affordable lower-bowl tickets, plenty are available in the high $40′s and low $50′s. The Nets are still a competitive team and an interesting watch at the price point.

Dec. 13: New York Knicks

Cheapest Upper Bowl Ticket: $10

Cheapest Lower Bowl Ticket: $52

Following an Eastern Conference semifinals run last season, the New York Knicks are poised for another playoff push this year. Julius Randle was named to the All-NBA Third Team last season, Jalen Brunson was one of the biggest surprises of the year, and the supporting cast of RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Mitchell Robinson are an entertaining watch.

The Knicks only come into town once a year, so fans who are interested in the New York team can watch them at an affordable price.
