Simone Biles was untouchable in the U.S. Championships as she won her seventh all-around U.S. Championship on Sunday, but Utah’s local connections did themselves proud too.

Biles won the meet scoring 119.65, 4.7 points ahead of second-place Suni Lee.

Utah’s gymnastics team was well represented with MyKayla Skinner finishing ninth and future Utah gymnasts Grace McCallum and Kara Eaker finishing seventh and 10th, respectively.

Skinner left Utah’s program a year early to attempt to make the Olympic team. That team will be decided following the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials scheduled for June 24-27 in St. Louis.

The top two from that event automatically qualify for the Olympic team while the other two competitors are selected by a committee.

Everyone is chasing Biles, who hasn’t lost an all-around competition in eight years. She had the top score on vault, balance beam and floor at the U.S. Championships.

Skinner finished second on the vault behind Biles, scoring 29.9 to Biles’ 31.35.

McCallum finished third on beam and Eaker was fifth.
